Social Benefit Bonds Pilot Program

In 2017, the Queensland Government contracted 3 pilot Social Benefit Bonds (SBB):

  1. Newpin Queensland SBB – to safely reunify children in out-of-home care with their families, with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
  2. YouthChoices SBB – to reduce the frequency and severity of offending behaviour of young people who are at risk of detention or remand.
  3. Youth CONNECT SBB – to develop the resilience of young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Six years on, the Youth CONNECT SBB has completed its service delivery and will run through to operational completion.  Both the Newpin Queensland SBB and YouthChoices SBB have been closed.
