Ulinda Park Battery and Energy Storage System proposal
Have your say on an application for a generation authority for the Ulinda Park Battery and Energy Storage System (BESS) proposal project. This authority will allow the applicant to operate the generating plant and to connect to the transmission network.
Delivery of infrastructure projects requires careful consideration of the appropriate delivery model. The continuum of potential models extends from direct government procurement (Government takes the lead on most elements of delivery, including design, financing, construction and maintenance) to models where the private sector takes on responsibility/risk for more of these elements (including funding and/or financing). Public-private partnerships (PPP) delivery models usually involve a high level of devolvement, including private sector funding and/or finance.
